Broadcom reported that its AI semiconductor revenue reached $16.7 billion for the third fiscal quarter ending August 2. This figure represents a 221% increase compared to the same period last year and a 54% rise from the previous quarter.

The AI segment now accounts for approximately 56% of the company's total quarterly revenue of $29.6 billion. The broader semiconductor solutions category generated $20.8 billion, marking a 127% year-over-year growth driven by demand for custom AI accelerators and networking hardware.

Major customers for Broadcom's custom AI accelerators, or ASICs, include Alphabet, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Meta Platforms. As of August 2, the company's remaining performance obligations rose to approximately $179.2 billion, up from $164.6 billion in the prior quarter.

Management has increased the full-year fiscal 2026 AI revenue guidance to approximately $58 billion. For the fourth quarter, the company projects AI semiconductor revenue of about $21.7 billion and total revenue of roughly $34.8 billion.

Looking further ahead, Broadcom forecasts AI-related revenue of around $115 billion for fiscal 2027 and approximately $230 billion for fiscal 2028.
