Bose has introduced the second generation of its Ultra Open Earbuds, featuring a refined design with beveled metal caps and improved audio performance. The new model includes a cinema mode powered by Bose TrueSpatial technology, which simulates a wider soundstage while maintaining clear dialogue. The earbuds do not feature active noise cancellation to ensure users remain aware of their surroundings.

Battery life for the Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) has been extended to 9 hours of playback on a single charge, with the redesigned charging case providing an additional 19.5 hours. The case now supports upright positioning for wireless charging compatibility. The device will be available in five colors: black, smoke white, cherry chocolate, olive green, and sky blue-pink.

The company also launched the Sport Open Earbuds, priced at $199. This model is designed for physical activity, featuring a thinner clip and a soft silicone matte finish for increased friction and stability. The Sport version offers 7 hours of playback per charge, with the case adding 22 hours. It includes textured buttons for easier tactile operation during exercise.

Pre-orders for both the Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) and the Sport Open Earbuds begin on September 19, with a full market release scheduled for October 1. The Ultra Open Earbuds (2nd Gen) are priced at $299. The Sport model comes in black, smoke white, and eucalyptus green color options.
