Bose has introduced the second generation of its Ultra Open Earbuds and launched a new Sport Open Earbuds line. The updated flagship model retains the signature clip-on design, which allows users to maintain awareness of their surroundings. The new version features refined metal accents and is available in five colors: black, white smoke, cherry chocolate, olive green, and sky pink.
The second-generation Ultra Open Earbuds feature redesigned drivers for improved volume and deeper bass. A new Cinema Mode utilizes TrueSpatial audio technology to enhance immersion. Battery life has been extended to 9 hours on a single charge, with an additional 19.5 hours provided by the new charging case, which now supports wireless charging and vertical positioning.
The new Sport Open Earbuds are designed for fitness, featuring a slimmer clip-on structure with silicone surfaces for better grip. They include textured physical buttons for easier control during exercise and carry an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. Both models incorporate AI-driven SpeechClarity technology to improve voice call quality by reducing background noise.
The Ultra Open Earbuds are priced at $299, while the Sport Open Earbuds are priced at $199. Pre-orders for both devices begin on September 19, with a full market release scheduled for October 1. These product updates reflect Bose's strategy to strengthen its position in the growing open-ear audio market.
