The upcoming BMW iX4 electric coupe SUV is set to replace the current X4 model. The vehicle will be built on the Neue Klasse design and technology platform. BMW plans to launch the model as a 2027 vehicle, with an official market release scheduled before the end of 2026.

The exterior features a distinct sloping roofline and a fastback silhouette, distinguishing it from the boxier iX3. Inside, the cabin follows the Neue Klasse design language, highlighted by a 17.9-inch central touchscreen, a redesigned steering wheel, and a panoramic display layout spanning the dashboard.

The iX4 will be available in two all-wheel-drive configurations: the 40 xDrive and the 50 xDrive. Both versions will be equipped with BMW's 6th generation electric drive system, known as Gen6 eDrive. While both models feature AWD, they will differ in terms of performance and range capabilities.
