BMW is preparing to unveil the iX4 electric coupe-SUV this week, with official images leaking online shortly before the debut. The vehicle is scheduled to go on sale by the end of 2026 as a 2027 model year release. It will be available in two all-wheel-drive configurations: the 40 xDrive and the 50 xDrive.

The iX4 is built on the Neue Klasse platform and utilizes BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive technology. It features a 108.7 kWh battery pack. The design adopts a fastback-like silhouette, distinguishing it from the more traditional SUV shape of the iX3. The interior includes a 17.9-inch central touchscreen and the Panoramic Vision 3D Head-Up Display.

While official pricing remains unannounced, the iX4 is expected to carry a premium over the iX3. For context, the 2027 iX3 50 xDrive starts at $61,500 in the United States and €73,925 in Europe. The iX3 40 model is also available in Europe with a starting price of €63,400.
