The Hunter WOLF, an autonomous 6x6 military robot developed by BLADE, has been selected as one of six projects for the US Army’s Infantry Last Tactical Mile initiative. The vehicle is designed to provide logistical support, transport heavy equipment, and assist in casualty evacuation across challenging terrain.
The platform features a 6x6 electric drive system powered by an undisclosed number of motors, delivering a combined output of 97 kW. It utilizes airless Tweels and is capable of climbing 60% grades and traversing 40% side slopes. The robot can also be equipped with a 30 mm Bushmaster cannon.
For power, the robot relies on onboard batteries providing over 12 km of silent operation. A JP-8 diesel generator serves as a range extender, allowing the vehicle to travel more than 200 miles. Tom Van Doren, President of Robotics at BLADE, confirmed that the machine is field-proven and ready for deployment.
