Blackview has unveiled the Xplore 6, a rugged smartphone featuring a unique external teleconverter system. By attaching a 3.33x teleconverter to a specialized protective case, the device's native 3x optical zoom is extended to 10x, with an equivalent focal length of 230mm. Combined with digital zoom, the effective focal length can reach 1600mm.
The camera system consists of four 50MP sensors. The main camera uses an OmniVision OV50H 1/1.3-inch sensor with optical image stabilization, which is also present in the periscope module. The front-facing camera also has a 50MP resolution and an F/2.45 aperture.
The device features a secondary 1.47-inch rear display with a 368 x 194 pixel resolution. This screen serves as a viewfinder for the main camera, enabling high-quality selfies, and displays system information and multimedia controls.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC, the Xplore 6 comes with 18GB of RAM and either 512GB or 1TB of flash storage. The primary screen is a 6.73-inch AMOLED display with a 3200 x 1440 pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The smartphone is equipped with a 12,000mAh battery, supporting 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. The chassis is 18.2mm thick, weighs 428g, and measures 179.5 x 85.4mm. It is IP69K rated and can withstand drops from a height of two meters.
The device runs on Android 16 and will receive three years of Android updates. European sales are expected to start in late September with a price of €950, which includes the teleconverter, protective case, wireless earbuds, and a charging dock.
