Blackstone has secured a first-lien term loan to finance the acquisition of a controlling stake in Flow Control Holdings. The deal, which involves Blackstone Capital Partners and Blackstone Energy Transition Partners, was announced on September 10, 2026.

Flow Control Holdings is a Cincinnati-based manufacturer specializing in precision components for liquid cooling systems, such as valves, hoses, and fittings. The company also produces equipment for the pharmaceutical and food industries.

The current owner, Audax Private Equity, acquired the business in March 2022 and oversaw ten add-on acquisitions to expand its supply chain capabilities. Audax will retain a minority stake in the company following the transaction.

CEO Scott Kerns will remain in his position to lead the company through the transition. Blackstone expects the deal to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending standard regulatory approvals.

Blackstone executives highlighted the growing demand for energy-efficient cooling solutions driven by AI infrastructure. The firm views liquid cooling as a key technology for increasing computing capacity and reducing emissions.
