A May 2026 report by Bitwise categorizes US wealth management platforms based on their policies toward Bitcoin exchange-traded products. The research identifies three distinct levels of access: solicited, unsolicited-only, and restricted.

Platforms categorized as solicited allow advisors to actively recommend Bitcoin ETPs to clients. This group includes major firms such as Morgan Stanley, Fidelity, Charles Schwab, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Vanguard.

In contrast, 18 platforms are classified as unsolicited-only, meaning advisors cannot pitch these products and will only execute trades upon a client's request. This list features JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and UBS.

The analysis further identifies five platforms that restrict access to Bitcoin ETPs, including HSBC, T. Rowe Price, and American Express. Bitwise notes that these policies significantly impact the distribution of Bitcoin funds.
