Crypto exchange Bitget has updated its incident report regarding a recent security breach, stating that the total value of affected assets reached $388 million. This figure is an increase of $35 million from the initial estimate of $352 million reported on Thursday.

The exchange confirmed that $387.5 million was transferred to addresses controlled by attackers. The revised total accounts for assets on the Zcash and TRON networks that were excluded from the first assessment. Bitget emphasized that this update does not indicate any additional unauthorized transfers.

The security incident involved addresses across Ethereum Virtual Machine networks, the XRP Ledger, Zcash, and TRON. Among the stolen assets were XRP, Ether, Tether USDt, ZEC, USDC, USDT0, XAUt, BNB, AVAX, and TRX. The company stated that the situation is contained and no further unauthorized transfers are possible.

Following the breach, Bitget continues to pause withdrawals. The company has launched a bounty program to encourage the freezing or recovery of the stolen funds. The report did not address earlier speculation from CEO Gracy Chen regarding the potential involvement of a North Korean hacking group.
