Bitget has updated its Open API infrastructure to include support for Contracts for Difference (CFDs). This update allows algorithmic and quantitative traders to access global markets, including gold, forex, stock indices, and crude oil, directly through the platform's existing API framework.
The integration enables users to manage multi-asset strategies without requiring separate connections for traditional financial instruments. Traders can now automate order execution, monitor real-time market data, transfer funds, and adjust trading parameters like stop-loss and take-profit settings within a single environment.
According to CEO Gracy Chen, the expansion aims to provide professional and institutional traders with tools that unify their interaction with both crypto and traditional markets. The platform currently serves over 125 million users across 150 regions and offers access to more than 2 million crypto tokens and various tokenized assets.
Bitget continues to invest in infrastructure to support its transition into a Universal Exchange. The company also maintains a global impact strategy, including a partnership with UNICEF to provide blockchain education to 1.1 million people by 2027.
