On September 30, Bitget recorded $231 million in deposits, which is approximately 6% lower than the platform's daily average of $245 million observed in August. This activity follows a security breach on September 24, where attackers used forged internal transfer requests to withdraw between $387.5 million and $390 million from hot and warm wallets.
Following the incident, the exchange suspended withdrawals and conducted an internal audit. A phased restoration of withdrawal services began on September 28, covering BTC, ETH, and USDT. Upon reopening, the platform experienced a record net outflow of $463 million in a single day.
Despite the outflow, trading activity shows signs of stabilization. As of September 29, futures trading volume reached $9.2 billion, with open interest recorded at $4.4 billion. On the same day, the exchange released a Proof of Reserves report indicating a 131% reserve ratio across 19 assets.
