Bitcoin Suisse is initiating a strategic restructuring that involves relocating up to 60 positions from its headquarters in Zug, Switzerland. The company plans to shift these back-office and administrative roles to Bratislava, Slovakia, and a new location in Vietnam. The first wave of staff reductions is scheduled to occur before the end of the current year.

CEO Andrej Majcen stated that the move is driven by cost-efficiency rather than the recent downturn in the cryptocurrency market. The company intends to transition from a specialized Swiss crypto firm into a global wealth manager. This shift aims to expand services for wealthy private clients, family offices, and institutional investors beyond traditional crypto offerings.

To support this international expansion, the company has secured new regulatory licenses in Liechtenstein, Bermuda, and Abu Dhabi. Despite the relocation of personnel, Zug will remain the official headquarters of Bitcoin Suisse. The firm continues to evaluate potential acquisitions within Switzerland while focusing on its new global growth strategy.
