Bitcoin Suisse is reducing its Swiss workforce by up to 60 employees, which accounts for approximately 50% of its local staff of 120 people. The restructuring primarily affects administrative, back-office, and software development positions.

The company is consolidating these functions into its existing hub in Bratislava and a new development site in Vietnam. Additionally, the firm is closing its IT office in Copenhagen. Client-facing roles will remain in Switzerland to serve high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutions.

Group CEO Andrej Majcen, who has led the company since January 2024, is managing the transition. The consultation period for affected staff ends on September 20, 2026, with initial layoffs expected before the end of the year.

Founded in 2013, the company holds regulatory licenses in jurisdictions including Liechtenstein, Abu Dhabi, and Bermuda. Leadership describes the move as a strategic pivot toward becoming an international financial services platform rather than a response to financial distress.
