The entity-adjusted Spent Output Profit Ratio (SOPR) for Bitcoin has remained above the 1.0 threshold for three consecutive weeks. This period, which began on August 19, 2026, marks the longest streak of profitability recorded this year.
With Bitcoin trading near $81,119, the standard SOPR value is approximately 1.008. A reading above 1.0 indicates that coins moved on-chain are being sold for a profit, while a reading below 1.0 suggests sales at a loss.
Data from Glassnode shows that the entity-adjusted metric filters out internal wallet transfers and exchange movements to isolate real economic activity. CryptoQuant reported that the highest SOPR reading during this current streak reached 1.002.
In September 2026, both long-term and short-term holder cohorts recorded SOPR values above 1.0. David Puell of ARK Invest noted that while the current metrics are encouraging, a definitive shift in market regime may require further confirmation over a longer period.
