Bitcoin reached a price of $86 332 on Monday, marking its highest level in eight months. The asset has recovered from a low of $62 000 recorded on August 17, climbing back above the $80 000 threshold within a month. Despite this growth, the current price remains over 30% below the record high of $126 000 set in October 2025.

Market volatility led to $877.31 million in liquidations across crypto markets over a 24-hour period. Short positions accounted for $740.79 million, or 84% of the total, with more than 126 000 accounts liquidated. The largest single order was a $11.29 million BTC/USDT position on Binance. Bitcoin liquidations totaled $491.48 million, while Ethereum saw $195.11 million.

Macroeconomic factors, including a four-session decline in Brent crude oil prices and a drop in 10-year Treasury yields to near 4.9%, have influenced recent market activity. Traders are currently monitoring upcoming events, such as the September 24 meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, as well as inflation and employment data releases scheduled through mid-October.

Technical indicators suggest Bitcoin is currently overbought. Analysts note a potential retest of the support zone between $79 071 and $80 355. Should the price hold above this range, further gains toward $95 000 are possible. Prediction markets currently estimate a 50% probability of Bitcoin reaching $90 000 before the end of the month.
