A recent report from data firm CryptoQuant indicates that the volume of bitcoin held on exchanges has decreased to 2.67 million, down from 2.8 million in February. Analysts suggest this reduction in available supply, combined with steady demand, may create conditions for a long-term price increase.

Bitcoin recently traded at $83 485, marking an 8% increase over the past 30 days. This follows a period in the first half of 2026 where the asset mostly traded below $65 000, following an all-time high of $126 080 reached in October 2025.

Market activity has shifted since August, driven by the U.S. Treasury's decision to double its liquidity-support buyback operations. This policy has weakened the dollar and increased interest in non-yield-bearing assets like bitcoin as a hedge against currency devaluation.
