U.S. bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a significant influx of capital, attracting $999 million in new investments on Monday. This daily volume marks the highest level of activity since October 6, when inflows exceeded $1.2 billion and the asset reached a record price of $126,080.
Market data indicates that the iShares Bitcoin Trust managed by BlackRock led the inflows with $381.4 million. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF followed with $289.1 million, while the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund secured $238.8 million in new capital from investors.
The price of bitcoin reached $86,552 on Monday after briefly touching $87,330, reflecting a 13% increase over the previous seven days. Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart noted that the estimated ETF cost basis rose above $81,72, meaning the average ETF buyer is currently in profit.
Analysts attribute the renewed investor interest to a cooling rally in artificial intelligence stocks and the U.S. Treasury's decision to expand liquidity-support buyback operations. According to CryptoQuant, bitcoin has crossed its 365-day moving average, signaling an end to the bear market.
