Spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds in the US recorded a cumulative trading volume exceeding $7.5 billion during the week ending October 16, 2026. Despite the high turnover, investors withdrew a net total of approximately $145 million over the same period.

Trading activity peaked on October 8 with $3.18 billion, followed by $2.29 billion on October 14. Several sessions during the week surpassed $2 billion in volume. Despite these figures, net outflows for the month to date have reached roughly $535 million, largely driven by a single-day exit of $485 million on October 7.

Bitcoin maintained a price near $82,000 throughout the period of net redemptions. Major market participants, including BlackRock’s IBIT, Fidelity’s FBTC, and Grayscale, accounted for the majority of the trading volume and capital movement.

Since the launch of US spot Bitcoin ETFs in January 2024, cumulative net inflows have totaled approximately $57 billion. Total assets under management currently range between $105 billion and $106 billion, making the recent weekly outflows a small fraction of the total asset base.
