US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded net outflows of approximately $450 million between September 8 and September 10. This reversal interrupted a period of significant growth, during which the week ending September 4 saw inflows of about $987 million.
The daily outflow figures showed a rapid increase: $46.6 million on September 8, $120.2 million on September 9, and $282.6 million on September 10. The ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (ARKB) accounted for $164.3 million of the outflows on September 10, while Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was the only fund to report positive inflows.
During the selloff, the price of Bitcoin fluctuated between $80,000 and $77,000. Since the launch of these products in January 2024, cumulative net inflows have reached $55.17 billion, with total assets under management currently near $97.5 billion, or 6.28% of Bitcoin's market capitalization.
For the year 2026, net outflows for these funds total approximately $1.07 billion. Despite a positive trend in the three weeks prior, which saw $3.8 billion in net inflows, the recent market activity highlights a sharp shift in investor sentiment.
