The Vienna-based division of the global trading platform BingX has received authorization as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) from the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). This approval, announced on October 14, 2026, was granted under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.
The license allows the company to provide custody, exchange, and brokerage services across 29 countries within the European Economic Area. Despite the regulatory clearance, BingX EU has not yet disclosed a specific date for the launch of its services for European customers.
As of mid-October 2026, the company was not yet listed in the official CASP register maintained by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). The application process with the Austrian regulator had reached an advanced stage by June 16, 2026.
BingX, which was founded in 2018, reports a global user base of more than 40 million people. The company joins other platforms like Bybit and Bitpanda that have utilized Austria as a hub for obtaining MiCA-compliant authorization to operate across the European bloc.
