Binance Wallet and PancakeSwap have launched Pre-Access campaigns, allowing users to purchase tokenized exposure to private companies before their public listings. While the name of the first project remains undisclosed, the initiative marks a significant expansion of the exchange into traditional asset classes.
The platform determines token allocations based on three specific criteria: Alpha Points, the user's bStocks on-chain tier, and the possession of a Trencher Badge. PancakeSwap is responsible for establishing the final rules for these campaigns, as noted in the official disclosure from Binance.
This move follows a year of growth for Binance in the traditional finance sector, including the introduction of stock trading, tokenized equities, and pre-IPO derivatives. In May, the exchange listed perpetual futures for SpaceX, and it officially opened US equities trading on June 1, followed by bStocks on June 12.
Data from RWA.xyz indicates that the number of tokenized stockholders reached a record 3.7 million on September 19, marking an 86% increase over 30 days. The total distributed value also hit a record high of over $3 billion, reflecting growing market demand for on-chain versions of private shares.
Despite the new access, Binance clarified that these tokens do not grant holders voting rights, dividends, or any standard shareholder privileges. The exchange also issued a warning that these assets carry high risks, noting that returns, liquidity, and settlement are not guaranteed.
