Binance announced the closure of its Bitcoin mining pool and several associated services, including Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, and the Transaction Accelerator. The shutdown also affects Telegram alerts, email notifications, and the pool's API, with all operations ceasing on November 10, 2026.
Starting at 07:00 UTC on the specified date, Binance will disconnect mining connections and disable Stratum URLs. After this cutoff, the exchange will no longer accept or credit hashrate submissions. The company stated that it will process outstanding rewards and balances following the closure, subject to compliance checks.
Launched in April 2020, the Binance Pool held a 2.3% share of the Bitcoin network with approximately 26 exahashes per second by the end of 2025. It was the last remaining pool from the period when major exchanges entered the mining sector, serving as a support for the exchange's core custody and trading business.
The decision to exit the mining sector aligns with Binance's broader shift toward traditional financial products. The exchange recently introduced access to over 7,000 US stocks and ETFs for international users, with plans to launch tokenized share minting on the BNB blockchain. This follows the earlier closure of its centralized NFT service in July.
