Binance recorded approximately 34,000 altcoin inflow transactions on April 2, marking the highest single-day count for the platform since the beginning of the year. This surge is significantly concentrated, as other major exchanges like Bybit and Coinbase did not experience similar spikes.

The current activity level represents roughly 58% of the peak observed during the market rally between November and December 2024, when Binance logged about 59,000 transactions. Analysts suggest the increase on Binance may be linked to the recent launch of new commodity futures products.

Altcoin market capitalization grew by about 21% over the past month. According to Glassnode, this growth does not stem from capital rotation out of Bitcoin, but rather from new capital or internal sector repositioning. Meanwhile, altcoin-focused ETFs for XRP, Solana, and Ethereum have seen inflows in the tens of millions.

While Bitcoin-denominated products have faced outflows, institutional interest in altcoins remains modest compared to total historical Bitcoin inflows. Other exchanges, including Bitget and HTX, have also reported net capital inflows in USD and BTC terms in recent weeks, though their altcoin-specific transaction volumes remain lower than those on Binance.
