Binance is launching its first foreign exchange perpetual futures contract, USDBRLUSDT, on September 21, 2026. The instrument tracks the US dollar against the Brazilian real and settles in USDT.

The contract offers up to 100x leverage and features a dual-mode pricing system. During standard market hours, it uses a weighted-average index, while on weekends and holidays, it switches to an orderbook-based exponentially weighted moving average.

Binance claims this pricing method provides an effectiveness multiplier of 2.6 to 3.8 times compared to competitors. The funding rate is charged every eight hours with a cap of plus or minus 0.375%.

The exchange previously introduced TradFi perpetual contracts for commodities and equities in January 2026. Average daily trading volume for these products rose from $3 billion in January to $8.6 billion by March 2026, with cumulative volume exceeding $153 billion.

Other platforms, including Bybit, Kraken, and BitMEX, have previously launched similar FX perpetual products. Bybit introduced its own pairs, such as EUR/USD and GBP/USD, earlier in September 2026.
