Binance France is terminating its operations in the country. The exchange has notified its customers via email that all user accounts will be officially closed on December 31, 2026.
Starting November 29, 2026, the platform will begin charging a monthly maintenance fee on any remaining assets. This fee is set at 0.025% of the account balance, with a minimum charge of 10 USDC.
The company stated that accounts with remaining balances after the deadline will be considered inactive. This status allows Binance to process, convert, or transfer the held crypto-assets.
This decision follows the exchange's failure to obtain regulatory authorization under the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework from an EU member state before the July 1 deadline.
