Binance has entered into a five-year agreement with Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin. As part of this partnership, Binance is investing $100 million into the company to foster the growth of digital asset products.
The collaboration focuses on expanding the integration and promotion of USDC on the Binance platform. The companies intend to prioritize emerging markets, where Circle will provide the necessary infrastructure services for users to hold and utilize the stablecoin.
Circle recently launched Arc, a blockchain platform designed for financial markets and real-time money movement. This development aligns with broader industry trends, such as Ripple’s treasury initiatives and Mastercard’s efforts to embed stablecoin capabilities into existing banking and merchant networks.
