Bigscreen has permanently reduced the prices of its Beyond 2 series PC VR headsets. The base model, Beyond 2, now starts at $959, down from the previous price of $1,019. The Beyond 2e model, which includes built-in eye tracking, has seen its price drop from $1,219 to $1,159.

The company also announced the resumption of production for the Halo Mount head strap. This accessory was initially redesigned late last year following negative feedback from testers and faced further delays in June due to manufacturing issues. The mount is designed to distribute the weight of the headset to improve comfort.

Bigscreen reported that current inventory for both models is very low due to a combination of increased demand and shipping delays. While some orders are still shipping on the same day, others may face a wait of up to two weeks. The company expects to return to its standard shipping time of 1 to 2 business days by September 14.

The Beyond 2 headset weighs 107 grams and features a micro-OLED display with a resolution of 5120x2560. It supports a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and offers a 116-degree field of view. The device is compatible with SteamVR base stations and is available in black, orange, and transparent color options.
