Italian technology conglomerate Bending Spoons has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the AI-powered workspace platform Miro for €1,7 billion. The deal, which received unanimous approval from both boards of directors, involves the purchase of 100% of Miro’s outstanding shares.
Miro currently serves over 250 000 organizations and reports approximately $600 million in annual recurring revenue, with nearly 90% coming from business and enterprise clients. The platform counts nearly 4 million paying users, including more than 750 customers generating over $100 000 in annual recurring revenue.
Bending Spoons, founded in 2013 and based in Milan, focuses on acquiring and operating digital products through AI-driven automation and cost optimization. The company has completed over 50 acquisitions, including Vimeo, Evernote, and WeTransfer, and recently filed for an IPO on the NASDAQ.
The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. Until then, both companies will continue to operate independently. Bending Spoons plans to invest in Miro’s performance, reliability, and collaborative functionality to support long-term operations.
