Belron, the world's largest vehicle glass repair company, is currently selecting investment banks to facilitate a potential initial public offering. The firm is considering a listing on the Euronext Amsterdam exchange, with a potential timeline extending into 2027.
Market estimates suggest the company could be valued between €30 billion and €40 billion. In the first half of 2026, Belron reported sales of €3,57 billion, representing a 4,7% increase year-over-year, and a pretax profit of €526,1 million.
The company operates in 42 countries under brands such as Carglass, Autoglass, and Safelite, with a workforce of 30 000 to 32 000 employees. The Belgian holding company D’Ieteren Group maintains a 50,3% majority stake, while private equity firm CD&R holds 20,4%.
D’Ieteren Group is evaluating strategic options for its minority interests, including the IPO, as it prepares for a leadership transition. CEO Francis Deprez will step down, with Eric Machiels scheduled to assume the role by the end of 2026.
