Two unnamed organizations have received residency in the Belarus High-Tech Park (HTP) on September 28, 2026. These entities are the first in the country to receive authorization to combine traditional banking services with cryptocurrency operations.

The registration follows the introduction of Presidential Decree No. 19, which was signed on January 16, 2026. The decree requires these crypto banks to operate as joint-stock companies and maintain formal resident status within the HTP, which acts as a regulatory sandbox.

The new institutions are subject to oversight from both the HTP administration and the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus. Their permitted activities include managing fiat deposits, lending, digital asset custody, and token-based transfers.

The identities of the two companies remain undisclosed, though officials noted they are experienced players in the crypto sector. Before launching full operations, both entities must obtain approval to be listed on the National Bank's register of authorized entities, with a potential launch expected in late 2026.
