The Beijing Municipal Administration for Market Regulation has launched investigations into four major online travel and hotel booking platforms. The probe follows directives from the State Administration for Market Regulation and preliminary checks conducted by local authorities.
The companies under investigation are Hangzhou Taomei Aviation Service (Fliggy), Tongcheng Network Technology, Tujia Online Information Technology, and Beijing Sankuai Information Technology (Meituan). The regulator cited potential violations of the Anti-Unfair Competition Law and the E-commerce Law.
All four companies issued official responses on September 19. Each platform stated that it is cooperating fully with the regulatory authorities and intends to comply with all legal requirements. The firms emphasized their commitment to maintaining a fair and sustainable market environment.
Tujia and Tongcheng confirmed that their current business operations remain normal despite the ongoing investigation. Both companies pledged to continue providing services to users and partners while focusing on improving their internal compliance and platform governance.
