Banki.ru has launched a new service allowing users to purchase foreign currency online. The process involves selecting an offer, choosing a bank branch, completing identification, signing documents electronically, and paying via the Faster Payments System (SBP).
Upon payment, the bank reserves the requested cash amount at the selected office. The final transaction price is adjusted at the branch based on the exchange rate at the time of collection. If the final cost is lower than the prepaid amount, the difference is refunded; if higher, the customer pays the balance.
The service is currently available in select Russian regions. Early performance data indicates a significant interest in large transactions, with an average check of 200,000 ₽ and a maximum purchase reaching 1 ₽ million.
Kamkombank is the first partner to integrate with the platform. Users can purchase any currency currently available at the specific branch of the partner bank. The service aims to streamline the process of booking and securing cash currency.
