The BASH controller, developed by AXISRAY LAB, was recently showcased at the gamescom and TGS industry events. The device features a unique stickless design that replaces traditional carbon film or electromagnetic structures with the GumiTap optical sensing system.

This technology translates the deformation of a silicone cap into inputs, allowing the controller to detect not only directional movement but also pressure depth and twisting motions. The system supports various cap shapes and materials to accommodate different user preferences.

In terms of hardware, the BASH controller includes dual-stage triggers, two sets of rear buttons, a linear motor, and a 6-axis gyroscope. It also features a modular faceplate design and a built-in battery with a capacity of 1800mAh.

The controller offers triple-mode connectivity and integrates a display screen. This screen enables the device to run built-in 3D games locally, expanding the functionality of the peripheral beyond standard input tasks.
