The new SKM M9 commercial vehicle, developed by AvtoVAZ, debuted at the Comtrans exhibition in Kazan. The lineup is designed to fill the market segment between the Lada Largus and larger commercial transport options. Sales of the new model are scheduled to begin before the end of 2026.

The armored version of the minivan features a seven-seat configuration with Mercedes-Benz V-Class chairs and weighs approximately 4.5 tons. Its protection level is rated to withstand fire from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a Dragunov sniper rifle. The vehicle is priced at approximately 16 ₽ million.

Production of these specialized vehicles will take place in Nizhny Novgorod at the Promtech facility, a certified partner of AvtoVAZ. Customers will be able to order and service the armored vans through the existing Lada dealership network.

The SKM M9 family includes four base configurations: seven- and eight-seat minivans, a nine-seat minibus, and a cargo van. A specialized ambulance version was also showcased at the event. The standard model is front-wheel drive, equipped with a 2.0-liter diesel engine producing 150 hp and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
