Production of the Lada Azimut crossover is expected to begin on September 18, 2026, according to the Bright Park dealership and an independent source. AvtoVAZ has not officially confirmed the specific date, stating that the start of serial assembly will be announced when the time comes.

Dealerships have differing views on when sales will start. Lada-Autoklass expects sales to begin in November 2026, while Prime and Bright Park anticipate the first commercial vehicles will arrive no earlier than January 2027.

AvtoVAZ previously stated that the Lada Azimut would enter the market in the fourth quarter of 2026, with plans to produce several thousand crossovers by the end of the year.

The Azimut will be the first serially produced crossover of AvtoVAZ's own design in its modern history. The base versions will feature a 1.6-liter 120 hp engine and a 6-speed manual transmission, while higher-end versions will have a 1.8-liter 135 hp engine and a CVT.

The crossover will not have all-wheel drive. However, AvtoVAZ is currently developing a prototype with a hybrid powertrain delivering over 300 hp.
