AvtoVAZ launched the production of the Lada Azimut crossover on September 25, 2026. The company positions the vehicle as a competitive option in the local market, highlighting its adaptation to Russian operating conditions, service network availability, and interior capacity.
The model features two naturally aspirated gasoline engines. The 1.6-liter unit delivers 120 hp and 154 Nm of torque, while the 1.8-liter engine provides 135 hp and 175 Nm. The crossover will compete against models such as the Belgee X50, Jeland J6, Haval M6, and Tenet T4L.
The manufacturer plans to assemble several thousand units of the Lada Azimut by the end of 2026. The production target for the following year, 2027, is set at approximately 20 000 vehicles.
