AvtoVAZ has officially launched mass production of the Lada Azimut crossover at its Togliatti facility. This model marks the company's first fully domestic crossover vehicle. The manufacturer plans to produce several thousand units by the end of the current year, with output expected to scale up to tens of thousands in 2027.

The vehicle is available with two engine options: a 1.6-liter unit producing 122 hp paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 1.8-liter engine delivering 135 hp coupled with a CVT. All configurations feature front-wheel drive. According to project director Nikolai Fofanov, the crossover will be offered in three distinct trim levels.

The Lada Azimut introduces several features new to the brand's lineup. These include a panoramic roof, dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable seats, and a rotary drive mode selector. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a heating system for the front side windows, marking a shift in the company's standard equipment offerings.
