Avito Services and PIM Solutions have launched a new shipping service for private users across Russia. The platform allows individuals to send parcels weighing up to 100 kg between pickup points without requiring a transaction on the Avito marketplace itself, such as for personal gifts or items purchased elsewhere.
Users can access the service via the Avito mobile app by navigating to the 'Transportation and Delivery' category and selecting 'Deliver via Pickup Point.' The interface enables users to enter route details, dimensions, and weight, then compare various delivery providers based on rates and estimated delivery times.
Once a provider is selected, the user receives a tracking number to present at the drop-off location. Payment is handled by the recipient upon delivery, and the service includes options for compensation in case of loss or damage. The integration currently features major federal delivery services.
This partnership marks PIM Solutions' first project focused directly on individual consumers, leveraging its background in logistics technology for e-commerce. Avito plans to expand the list of available delivery partners in the near future to further broaden the service's reach across all Russian regions.
