Avatr unveiled the T09 concept at the Paris Motor Show on October 11, marking the start of a new flagship series for the brand. The vehicle is a result of a partnership between Changan, CATL, and Huawei. The production version of the SUV was previously revealed in China in September, with a domestic market launch scheduled for 2026.
The T09 features a six-seat layout with individual chairs across three rows. Its interior includes a dashboard with a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch screens. The vehicle measures approximately 17.1 feet in length and 6.6 feet in width, positioning it as a competitor to luxury SUVs like the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q9, and BMW X7.
The powertrain is an extended-range hybrid system consisting of a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and three electric motors, delivering a combined output exceeding 1,000 horsepower. The setup includes a 71.24-kWh CATL Freevoy battery. In China, the vehicle is expected to cost around ¥500 000, which is approximately $70 500.
While the concept previews a future international model, specific powertrain and equipment details for overseas markets remain unconfirmed. The vehicle reaches a top speed of 137 mph. According to Chinese regulatory filings, the pure-electric range on the CLTC cycle is estimated between 186 and 205 miles.
