Avatr Technology is preparing for a leadership transition as its current chairman, Wang Hui, shifts his focus to international operations for the parent company, Changan Automobile. Reports indicate that Wang is now overseeing Changan's business expansion in Southeast Asia and Central and South America.
Wang Hui assumed the role of chairman at Avatr one year ago with a primary mandate to lead the company toward an initial public offering. However, the IPO process has faced difficulties, and recent internal developments suggest a change in management strategy for the automaker.
Chen Zhuo, the current president of Avatr Technology and vice president of Changan Automobile, is expected to take on broader management responsibilities within Avatr. Chen was officially appointed as a vice president of Changan on June 15, alongside Di Zhirui, who currently manages the Qiyuan brand.
While Wang Hui remains listed as chairman in internal systems and on social media, his recent public activity has shifted toward Changan's global strategy. Notably, he did not participate in the recent promotional activities for the upcoming Avatr 9-series flagship SUV, which were led by Chen Zhuo.
