Avatr, a joint venture between Changan, Huawei, and CATL, presented its T09 concept vehicle at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The SUV is the first model in the new flagship series and is expected to launch commercially later in 2026. The vehicle is designed to compete in the luxury segment with a price point around ¥500 000 or $74 600.

The T09 features the Vision Xpectra design language, including a grille with 362 logo elements and a 2.1-square-meter clamshell hood. The interior includes the Vortex interaction system with 118 LED lights and a triple-screen setup consisting of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch displays. The car integrates Huawei’s Qiankun driving system and Taihang control technology.

Avatr currently operates in 70 countries and regions, with an average selling price for its vehicles exceeding ¥300 000 or $44 800. The company reports profitability in overseas markets, including a 10% market share in Egypt’s high-end EV segment and a leading position in Thailand’s luxury electric SUV market. Avatr plans to expand to 110 countries by 2030.

The T09 concept is being displayed at the Paris Motor Show alongside the Avatr 06T and 07L models. The exhibition runs from October 12 to October 18. According to the company, the brand will now split its offerings into two lines: the Digital series and the Flagship series, with the latter focusing on prestige and presence.
