The Marusya DIY integration for Home Assistant, available via HACS, automates the configuration of smart home devices for VK Marusya speakers. It eliminates the need for manual YAML file management and the use of the Marusya mobile application for device synchronization.
The tool supports multiple speakers linked to different VK accounts, allowing users to assign specific devices and default rooms to each speaker individually. It automatically generates unique, non-administrative Home Assistant tokens for each account, ensuring security by isolating device configurations.
Users can define devices through labels, lists, or YAML configuration. The integration handles the communication with the Marusya DIY portal, including uploading configurations and managing OAuth sessions. It also provides error reporting directly within the Home Assistant interface if a synchronization fails.
The integration relies on an unofficial protocol reverse-engineered from the Marusya Android application version 1.91.5. Because it uses an undocumented API, future updates to Marusya servers may require maintenance of the integration code.
The project is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license and is hosted on GitHub. While it supports basic commands like turning devices on or off, it does not currently support complex queries such as checking room temperature.
