Open Mobile Platform has released version 2.2.0 of Aurora Browser for the Aurora OS. The updated application is designed for both personal and corporate use, replacing the previous Gecko-based browser used in Aurora OS 4.
The update introduces configuration support via the Aurora Center management system and a new power-saving mode. Developers have redesigned the home page, improved navigation, and optimized how websites interact with the device camera.
Users can now apply custom certificates without restarting the browser. The application is available for devices running Aurora OS 5.2 or higher through the official RuStore platform, which also handles security updates.
Security is maintained through Aurora OS native features, including sandboxing and mandatory application signature verification. These measures are intended to protect user data from various threats and ensure the software remains patched.
