The Audi A6 Sportback E-Tron has established a new Guinness World Record for production electric vehicles by covering 1,338 kilometers on a single charge. Rally driver Miko Marczyk completed the journey in over 45 hours, surpassing the vehicle's official WLTP range of 777 kilometers by approximately 72 percent.

The record attempt commenced on September 11 in Poland. The route spanned from the Vistula region to the Baltic Sea and back, involving public roads and standard traffic conditions. Temperatures during the drive fluctuated between 7 and 15 degrees Celsius.

The vehicle achieved an average energy consumption of 7.09 kWh per 100 kilometers. The Audi A6 Sportback E-Tron features a 94.9 kWh net battery capacity and a 0.21 drag coefficient. Regenerative braking systems in the car are capable of providing up to 220 kW of power.

Marczyk, a European Rally Champion, previously set a fuel-efficiency record in a diesel Skoda Superb. His approach to the Audi record included optimized regenerative braking, tire pressure management, and avoiding rapid acceleration to maximize the efficiency of the electric powertrain.
