ASUS has officially commenced shipments of its latest gaming router, the ROG Rapture GT-BN98. This device is designed to support demanding network environments, including smart home setups, streaming, and gaming, by prioritizing connection stability and efficiency.
The router utilizes WiFi 8 technology to provide a total bandwidth of up to 25 000 Mbps. It incorporates specialized features such as new MCS rates, UEQM, and NPCA, which are intended to improve overall throughput and signal coverage throughout the home.
Unlike earlier standards that focused primarily on peak speeds, the WiFi 8 implementation in the GT-BN98 emphasizes reliability. The hardware is engineered to reduce speed fluctuations and maintain consistent performance even when multiple devices are connected or when operating at a distance.
