ASUS has officially released the ProArt PRT-BE5000, a new Wi-Fi 7 router. The device is currently available for purchase with an introductory price of ¥999, while its standard retail price is set at ¥1499.
The router is powered by a MediaTek 2.0 GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of DDR4 memory. It offers a combined dual-band speed of 5000 Mbps, with 4320 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. The device supports MLO technology to reduce latency and improve transmission speeds by 1.2 times compared to previous generations.
Connectivity features include two 2.5G ports for both LAN and WAN. The router supports dual WAN configuration with failover capabilities, ensuring network stability by automatically switching to a backup line if the primary connection fails. It also features AI-driven bandwidth allocation to prioritize creative workflows and cloud collaboration.
Security is managed through the integrated AiProtection system, which blocks malicious sites and isolates infected devices with local data storage. The router supports AiMesh for network expansion and allows the creation of three independent SSIDs for IoT, guest, and child access, ensuring that primary creative traffic remains prioritized and secure.
