Astra Group and Elron have signed a partnership agreement to integrate the Astra Linux Embedded operating system into the Eltay line of microcomputers. This collaboration aims to provide a fully localized hardware and software solution for the Russian market, ensuring independence from foreign suppliers.

The Eltay microcomputers utilize the domestic Giperkom-U processor. The integrated platform is designed for industrial automation, including use in embedded controllers, gateways, local computing nodes, interface panels, and terminals. It is intended for both data processing and application-specific device development.

For Astra Group, this partnership strengthens the presence of its embedded operating system in the compact and energy-efficient device segment. The company continues its strategy of expanding the ecosystem of supported hardware components to meet growing demand for domestic technology.

Elron expects the integration to increase the appeal of its hardware platforms among customers with strict import substitution requirements, particularly within the public sector and key economic industries. Both companies plan to collaborate on joint projects and share technical expertise.
