Shipping records from Taiwan and Vietnam dated July 2026 reveal the first ASRock Z990 motherboards. The identified models include the Challenger WiFi, Pro RS WiFi, Steel Legend WiFi, and two Taichi variants, specifically the White and Creator editions.
The Z990 chipset is designed as the flagship solution for Intel's upcoming Nova Lake-S desktop platform, which will utilize the new LGA1954 socket. Intel is also developing a more affordable Z970 chipset that supports multiplier overclocking but features reduced expansion capabilities.
Previous sightings include a Gigabyte AORUS Z990 Pro motherboard displayed at Computex earlier this year. These logistics activities support expectations for a Nova Lake launch in early 2027, although the rumored 52-core flagship processor is expected to debut later that year.
