Indian agricultural warehousing and lending firm Arya.ag is currently testing a system to tokenize warehouse receipts for stored grain. The initiative utilizes a dedicated Avalanche layer-1 blockchain to manage ownership records.

The company is collaborating with Finternet to integrate data regarding grain deposits, warehouse receipts, collateral commitments, and loan statuses. This process creates a composite token that allows banks to assess collateral risk more effectively.

Arya.ag manages approximately $2 billion in agricultural commodities across its network. The firm supports about ₹120 billion in annual loans, with its lending division, Arya Dhan, issuing roughly $230 million per year.

The system aims to provide lenders with a shared record of stored grain, ownership details, and existing debt obligations. While the technology is in testing, the companies have not disclosed a specific launch date or the initial scale of the deployment.
